As we move toward the closure of the school year, there are various processes and procedures we will follow to ensure the safe return of your child's personal belongings and the return of school property such as library books and fifth grade instruments/music books. Previously purchased spirit wear will be included with your child's personal belongings. Our PTC has generously purchased a yearbook for every student that we will pass out at the start of next school year. For students who are moving on to a new school we will host an evening for students and their families to come and pick up their yearbook and have their friends sign at the start of the 2020-2021 school year.

Please read the attached letter outlining our processes and procedures for the last week of school. If you have any questions please call (209) 574-5200 and we will get back to you as soon as possible. We will continue to communicate via email, Aeries, and our Website with updates as we receive them.

A Message from Principal Gretchën Griffin

Dear Sherwood Families and Community Members,

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! I am excited for a new school year. It is truly a privilege to be a part of a community where parents, teachers, site staff, and students care for each other and strive to build positive relationships that support academic and social growth.

At Sherwood we believe that a child's education is fostered by the school and families working together to provide a learning experience where the students will excel. We ensure all students will reach their target by teaching and motivating students to become lifelong learners. We will teach and foster independent thinkers to promote positive leadership and growth by providing a culture of safety and respect. We are enthusiastic and committed to building positive relationships with our families and community. We believe in ALL our students and can't wait to celebrate their success!

We want every member of our Sherwood community to feel welcome and a part of this year’s success. If you have any questions on how to be involved please contact our office for more information. Our office is open from 7:30-4:00. I look forward to working with each of you and your children.
